More About Sales
As a branch of the Dartmouth Sustainability Office, part of our efforts on campus focus on providing services to underprivileged students who may not have the financial means or knowledge of our services to fully take advantage of our campus's vibrant biking culture. To provide those students with the tools and knowledge necessary as we move toward a more sustainable future in a transportation scene less dominated by cars and more by human-scale walkable and bikable environments, we will first advertise bike sale appointments in the second week of each spring and fall term to the First Generation Office (FGO) to allow First Gen and Low Income (FGLI) students the chance to purchase from our fleet before advertising more broadly to the Dartmouth campus community in the weeks following. We do not sell bikes in the winter due to the harsh weather conditions and road salt.
During the summer term, we partner with FYSEP to allow their interested members to purchase from us before running a station at the annual Sustainability Moving Sale during O-Week.
