Meet the Team
Cristian Antonio '23
Cristian comes from Waukegan, IL and plans on studying CS and Econ while at Dartmouth. He is part of the FYSEP community on campus and while he's not in his dorm doing school work or taking walks around Occom, he enjoys listening to albums ranging from Pink Floyd to Mac Miller.
Wendell Wu ’23
Wendell Wu '23.6 (commonly known as wending_machine) is from a suburb of Cleveland, OH, whose main cultural export is Lebron James. A double major in Computer Science and Engineering Sciences, Wendell enjoys having no free time on campus. However, with the few minutes of spare time graciously allotted by his professors, Wendell plays piano with the Dartmouth Symphony Orchestra and other fellow musicians in chamber groups. Wendell is a graduate of the 20W mechanics course but joined the team in 22W following COVID and study-abroad related escapades.
Ella Goetze '23
Ella is a ’23 from Richmond, Vermont who plans on majoring in Neuroscience at Dartmouth. She is a member of the Dartmouth Cycling Team, a leader-in-training for Cabin and Trail, and one of the captains of the Club Nordic ski team. In addition to just about any activity that gets her outside, she enjoys cooking and fermentation projects (making sourdough, ginger beer, and sauerkraut)!
Parker Jones '24
Parker Jones '24 is from Atlanta, GA. He is an Earth Science major and more specifically is interested in earth processes, geologic systems, and climate history. Hopefully, the future holds a career in Earth Science that keeps Parker in the outdoors and continuing field work. Parker's hobbies include mountain biking and climbing, both of which he gets his fill of given Hanover's incredible access to places like Rumney and Highland Bike Park.
Wells Willett ’24
Wells Willett ’24 is from New Paltz, NY. At Dartmouth, he is interested in studying Environmental Engineering and Computer Science. In addition to working with Dartmouth Bikes, he is an executive on the Dartmouth Triathlon Team and a member of the Dartmouth Cycling Team, Dartmouth Outing Club, and Dartmouth Humanitarian Engineering. His hobbies include anything bike-related, mountain unicycling, and adventuring.
Kieran Norton '24
Kieran is from Cape Cod, Massachusetts, graduating from Nauset Regional High School in 2020. His academic interests lie in the fields of engineering, earth science, and geography, specifically pertaining to oceanographic science and marine fisheries. He is a member of the Sustainability Action Program and Aurora, looking forward to getting involved with more activities while at Dartmouth. At home he is a passionate surfer, sailor, and fisherman, spending his summers working on the water. Kieran also is an avid musician playing drum kit and guitar.
Raif Olson '24
Raif is a '24 from Ely, Minnesota. A CS mod ENGS major with a knack for cycling, he has toured the Eastern coast on his bike and Vice-Presidented the Dartmouth Cycling Team. Fun fact: he really likes Oreos.
Nolan Holmes '25
Nolan is a '25 from Brattleboro, Vermont. He is an engineering major and is an exec on the cycling team. In the winter Nolan loves to ski and race with Club Nordic. He loves to explore old forgotten roads on his bike.
Asa Dow '26
Asa is a '26 from Sitka, Alaska.
Marcus Welker trains student analysts and supports their work to conduct measurement and assessment studies. He is responsible for the college’s carbon accounting, greenhouse gas emissions accounting, resource inventories, and annual reporting to assess our progress towards goals in energy, food, water and waste systems and in sustainability planning. Marcus loves hiking, biking, swimming, playing Ultimate frisbee, keeping bees, and cooking and spending time with family and friends.
Want to Join the Team?
We are always looking for new members to join us! Whether you have worked in a professional bike shop, fix bikes at home, or have no experience (as is how many currently on the team started out), we'd love to chat with you about your background and shared enthusiasm for biking and sustainability. For those with little to no experience, the team hosts a mechanics workshop on a term-by-term basis (usually in the winter), whereby upon completion, you are eligible to apply and become a mechanic yourself. For those with more experience or just can't wait for the next mechanics course to roll around, feel free to drop by the shop to talk with us during our open shop hours or one of our appointment hours (found in the Location and Hours page) where you can volunteer and learn to fix some of the bikes in our fleet, or send us a message through our contact form. If we think you're ready to join, we'll send your name along to Marcus Welker, our manager and Assistant Director in the Sustainability Office, who will be in further contact!
